Harry and Diana Vickers, having moved from their previous home and caravan site at Low Hedgeley Farm, Powburn, are to open Thrunton Lowfield caravan site on 1 July 2025.
Thrunton Lowfield Farm is located just off the A697 road to Coldstream and the Scottish Borders, three miles south of Powburn and six miles to the west of Alnwick.
The site is within easy travelling distance of all that north Northumberland has to offer – the market towns of Alnwick, Rothbury and Wooler, the Cheviot hills, heritage coastline and picturesque countryside.
Access to the farm is by a metalled road with a short, wide hardcore track to the site. It adjoins a pasture field with cattle grazing and enjoys wide ranging views to the north, south and west.
There are currently five grass pitches each with 16 amp EHU and water point.
Whilst the site is level with spacious pitches it is the intention of the owners to further develop the area with the addition of hedging and trees during the remainder of 2025.
All visitors are assured of a warm welcome and those who previously enjoyed hospitality at Low Hedgeley will receive the same reception at Lowfield.
Our charges are £23 per night for stays of more than one night, one night only is £25.
£2 for each additional adult/child.
Arrival 12 noon, departure 11 am please.
Pets are allowed with a maximum two dogs.
Sorry, we do not accept tents.
There are no showers or toilets on site, your own on-board facilities will be required.
We are open until 31 October – please note this will be weather dependent.
